Principal's Notes

Dear Bulldog Family,

My name is William Dow and I am excited to introduce myself as the principal of Hardin-Central High School. I am honored to have been selected to join the Bulldog family! Over the past 13 years, I have worked eight years as a teacher and four years as an administrator. I have one son, Liam and a daughter! My wife, Rachel, is an Elementary Special Education teacher in the Carrollton School District. My hobbies include doing anything active, playing golf, officiating basketball, and fishing with my son.

As we progress through this school year, many things will look different. My goal as this year continues is to provide a meaningful educational environment for our students to be successful. Also, communication amongst our staff, students, and parents will be enhanced as it is a crucial part creating an environment where our students feel safe and excited about coming each day.  Although certain policies, procedures, etc. look much different this year, we as a Hardin-Central staff, look forward to this journey with our students!

As the Principal, I strive to create relationships with all of our students and staff to create an environment that is safe, welcoming, and is flexible to all learners. We will have an environment where students and staff work together to have cohesiveness in the educational process. I enjoy every day coming to school and working with our students so they feel wanted, needed, and important! I look forward to getting to know our students and community members as the school year unfolds.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have.
